About Ami Reiss
As the founder of Ami Reiss Management, Ami Reiss (Amichai Reiss) is experienced in working in the Montreal real estate market.
He has accumulated a portfolio of high-value apartment rentals in a variety of city and suburban neighborhoods, including the highly sought-after location of Laval.
Ami Reiss understands real estate from every perspective and every line on a lease, mortgage or other contract. As a building manager at Divco’s real estate holdings division, Vista, Ami gained a depth of experience in the business, working as the right-hand man for the chairman and founder of Divco. He was project manager for the development of Palais des Congres in Montreal, as well as many other large projects.
By 2009, Ami was ready to start his own real estate business, and began a string of successful investments in local neighborhoods. In 2016 he founded Reiss Management, which offers ideal value, locations and comfort to prospective tenants across the Montreal area.
Ami Reiss knows the people and geography well, having grown up in Montreal and attended Marianopolis CEGEP, later enrolling in Yeshiva University in New York City, where he studied business and psychology. He has faith in the future of Montreal, and its people.
Ami Reiss specializes in discovering extraordinary real estate investment opportunities, especially properties that have been overlooked by other investors. He understands every phase of a real estate transaction, from appraisal to renovations to ownership. Ami Reiss understands what makes an apartment great, from the perspective of a tenant and investor. And he knows that maximizing an investment requires a focus on quality and exceptional building management.
He also has a command of municipal and provincial regulations, the rules governing lessee and lessor disputes, and tenants rights. For tenants, he provides insights on what to look for when apartment-hunting, as well as advice on common mistakes and pitfalls. He helps tenants evaluate rental units in terms of value, location and access to entertainment options. His spot-on advice helps tenants protect their interests and find a unit that will meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Ami understands the risks involved in leasing out apartments, and is skilled in navigating the complex web of legal and regulatory mandates that create the framework for landlord-tenant relationships in Quebec. On this legal terrain, mistakes can be costly, and Ami Reiss helps guide landlords away from the potential minefields.
